Morning On The New Blog

Everyone does this - this blog thing so I'm a bit late jumping on the bandwagon. It might matter if I gave a damn. It's about 40 minutes before I have to clock in for work. As an employee at the Land of Walls (as I really shouldn't be talking about my place of employment apparently - not without written permission anyway. It's like D*sney that way), if I am any sort of late one must "volunteer" to work later to make up for the time difference even though they never get you out on time anyway. Especially if you're a cashier like myself.

Yeah, that's the most fun ever. Thankfully, my CSMs (customer service manager [or something like that]) are generally friendly and they weeded out the bad seed shortly after I gained employment. My scheduler is pretty nice too. I am beginning this lame journey into the life of a Spencer, Iowa hermit a few weeks before my mother's eventual surgery which will fuse her lumbar spine into one giant log of bone. During that time, I will end up being even more responsible than I already am.

Yes, I am a 24 year old woman still living with her mother and my five year old half-brother who has ADHD and potentially an autism disorder of some sort. Since his birth, I have been helping take care of him because my mother is disabled due to her massive amount of back injuries and possibly laziness. Now I sort of hope she never finds out about this blog thing. I don't plan on holding back any of my opinions as I do in the real world. There I am reserved and careful of what I say - for the most part. We have so many arguments about everything from spoons to the way she raises her child. It's maddening to be perfectly honest and I want to just ditch to somewhere else but, well, Land of Walls cashiers don't make a whole lot of money and I really shouldn't abandon the brat to her horribleness.

God forbid I do anything for myself. Now it's time to get dressed and send myself on my way. Not that I drive. Further lack of independence. Woo.
